This collar belonged to our horse, Old Bob....he has been dead since the early 70's and he was 31/32 years old when he had to be put down. He had been retired for several years....
my husbands daughter has a retired sherrifs horse that is really really old, when it could not be ridden any more she took it as a pet to live with her other horses.
So sorry he died! Did you ride him?
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure. Great photo and I enjoyed the link about Old Bob.

ReplyDeleteI have lots of parts like this of my wife's dad's place. I want my brother in law to take them to his garage but he has not yet done so.
ReplyDeleteGreat name!! Don't really know much about horses though I do like them a lot.
ReplyDeleteIs 31 years a typical age for a horse to live?
Some Loving History . . . Thank You
ReplyDeleteMy dad always said he was glad he grew up in an era when they had horses.
