I love to visit places like this...
We have had our family picnic down there the past couple or three years...
but we just stay at a shelter and talk and visit. These photos are from 2007.
I wish I had a fireplace...
I would be happy with either one of these. There is nothing like sitting by a fire and visiting with a friend.

That fireplace really is charming. It reminds me of my mom's at her old house. I can see why you have family picnics here, the grounds are pretty.

The buildings are beautiful! They don't look worn or old. Maybe recently built to look very old?

ReplyDeletethe second little cabin I want for myself. it must have indoor plumbing and power and wifi and I could live in it. I love a fireplace, but only had one for about 6 months. it was a total pain to clean out after the fire burned down, I would like to have one with gas logs I think.

ReplyDeleteI am fascinated with old cabins. They are honored all over Indiana in our state and county parks. I have read the history of the area where I live, along the St. Joseph River. The very land where I live was a place the Indians made camp. I also love to find the historical markers that I have seen in Indiana and Michigan commemorating a certain area or historical event. I'm not a history buff, but I find the history of where I live interesting.
