To have barns to post, I had to stroll back through a few little rambling drives and choose some from the past. This one I know I have posted before, but it has been a while...it is from 2009.
This one is from that same day in November, but I honestly do not think I have ever posted it.
Another from November of 2009, taken a few days after the first two. I don't think I would have posted this before.
This one is from pre-digital days. Remember film? This barn is no longer there. It has been gone a good while. I did not think it looked that bad, but one day went back by there and it was just gone. Only to live on in my memory and photos.

That poor old barn will only live on in our memories now. Favorite barn is the first, but I love the whole picture of the second one the best.

...Rose, I was out and about Saturday in barn heaven and saw the remains of several barns that the snow and strong winds brought down over the winter. The first and the last get my vote this week. Thanks so much for sharing.

ReplyDeleteKinda breaks my heart to see these old barns. I want to know their stories. Gone n the name of progress I suppose. The is/was a huge old barn around the corner from my place and they tore it down last year. Apparently the last big windstorm made it sway so down it went for safety sake. I talked to the owners one day and they had move there years ago and the barn was there already and they just wanted to keep it as long as it was ok.
ReplyDeleteBTW: speaking of Pansies---They just grow here all year long. Well maybe not so much in the winter but we do have very mild winters. And they pop up everywhere.

Wonderful old barns - we are lucky to have them saved on film and digitally. Their stories would be so wonderful. Even if you have posted before, I still enjoy seeing barns over and over. Lovely memories. The first on looks like a painting.

Ah, Rose, yes, I remember the pre-digital days. How I wish I'd had a digital camera for all those shots I took before but aren't we lucky now. You got some amazing barns, digital or not.
