In case you don't know what they are, the doubletree is on the right side hanging on the wall behind the blue lantern....the singletrees are the ones hanging directly below it. There are two of them. And those curved pieces on each side are hames...I cannot remember exactly how they were used...I know the hames are up by the collar on a work horse, and I assume some of the work harness attaches to them...maybe they are connected to the collar. I really cannot remember.
And I know the singletree and double tree is behind the horse/s....I can vaguely remember the singletree we had for old Bob, but cannot see what was attached to what. I think the plow was attached to the double tree, and then some of the harness was attached to the singletree. I think a doubletree was for a team of horses, but I could not swear to it.
Anyway, this is a porch seen over in Illinois somewhere a few years ago. I would love to find it again.
You know more than I did! I would never have known what these are! You must be a country girl! This is no ordinary porch for sure!

we never had anything for horses but daddy did have about half of the things hanging on that wall, and now my brother has them.
