Seen better days..


My coneflowers have seen better days...they really are ratty looking now.  I seen a goldfinch checking them out yesterday.  I am sure it won't be long till they are after them big time.

    Will these cone flowers have seeds for the birds? They look pretty, just like cones. Have a beautiful day!

    I think they are aging gracefully & even at the end of their life they are are food source for the birds!

    Hello, I think they are still beautiful. I enjoy seeing the birds on these flowers, it is one of the reasons I planted the flowers to attract the birds and butterflies. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

    I have never seen a cone flower, I see them on blogs all the time and I love them, but never seen a live one

    They look over the hill but soon they will provide food for the birds. An effective picture.

    Some of mine are looking like yours too but more keep blooming.
    Goldfinches have been at mine too and they really like the sunflowers too. Fun to sit and watch them.

    I like that about these flowers. First it's the butterflies that like them and later the Goldfinches,not to mention that the flowers are very attractive.
