I always told Lorelei that she was Charlotte's cousin that moved to the city.
We watched her grow all one summer.
She grew....
And grew some more...
The first photo was taken on Sept 3 and the last one on October 11....I have watched for relatives every summer since that year but so far no luck. You know she had to leave lots of children behind with that body of hers!
Wow - she's big and beautiful!
ReplyDeletemabe the males did not fine her. Cool to have a spider as pet :)
ReplyDeleteThat body is quite plump!
ReplyDeleteAmazing capture on its transformation!! looks great
ReplyDeleteNasty boogers. I don't like spiders....but the series of her life you've shared is truly magnificent to be honest. I like this very much.
ReplyDelete..spiders and I are not friends.
ReplyDeletei do not like spiders and she would not have been left there, but she really is a beautiful specimen. i could not sleep with her outside my house. they are quiet commong here, but not in the town part where we are, out east sometime they hang by the dozens from the power lines. EXCELLENT photos of your friend Mabel, Charlottes cousin. i wonder if she is a first cousin or a first cousin once removed
ReplyDeleteOh my, she has grown. It is a beautiful spider, I am ok with them outside.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day and week ahead!
Amazing photos which really do show how she grew! Where could all those babies have gone?
ReplyDeleteYour pictures provide a wonderful sequence. I like this very much. A excellent post.
ReplyDeleteHuge OMG. Spiders always creep me out. Carol
ReplyDeleteOh my, Mabel has really grown since September. Her yellow body is lovely, and these are really nice pictures, Rose.

Wow that is some spider. Great photos of her growing.
ReplyDeleteColorful! I don't mind spiders so long as they stay outside and avoid building webs attaching my truck to the bushes.
ReplyDeleteThe perspective of your pictures makes her look HUGE!
