Great Blue Heron from the summer


I thought I would share  a couple more shots of this heron...


We watched it forever and never did see it catch anything.

  2. Herons are blessed with endless patience, though it's difficult to imagine it would ever be able to glimpse its prey in such scummy water, though it may be on the look out for frogs.

  4. he is waiting for the perfect catch to swim by, fish or frog I would think. standing thigh high in the water and so beautiful

  8. I love 'em. Those herons...we could take lessons from them to learn patience. (Which I lack)
