the first ones are hilarious, like they are jumping up up up… the last one is beautiful. I have never seen them in the air, only walking around on the ground
Hello, great sighting and photos. The Sandhill Cranes look to be just hanging in the sky. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day. Wishing you a happy new week ahead.
They're such peculiar looking birds. It's like they're standing up while flying. I can see why they make you laugh, Rose. : ) I don't really see them around here.
I have never seen a Sandhill Crane in flight. So cool and yes, the pics brought a smile to my face. Occasionally we see a flock in a farmer's field here or there. I'm not sure what time of the year or if it matters. I am always thrilled to see ANY bird that is elusive. xx, Carol
Wow, this is so unusual! Not really flying, maybe more like jumping. GREAT captures!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Delightful to see--- and laugh!

I giggled, too! They don't look like a 'normal' bird in flight but I guess they get where they're going!
ReplyDeletere they flying? I have never seen Sandhill Cranes anyway----weird but neat too
