Because they make me smile....


I came across these...they were taken the same day as the the photo in the previous post.


For some reason they make me want to laugh...

    Wow, this is so unusual! Not really flying, maybe more like jumping. GREAT captures!

    the first ones are hilarious, like they are jumping up up up… the last one is beautiful. I have never seen them in the air, only walking around on the ground

    They're such peculiar looking birds. It's like they're standing up while flying. I can see why they make you laugh, Rose. : ) I don't really see them around here.

    I have never seen a Sandhill Crane in flight. So cool and yes, the pics brought a smile to my face. Occasionally we see a flock in a farmer's field here or there. I'm not sure what time of the year or if it matters. I am always thrilled to see ANY bird that is elusive.
