I ran an errand today, and when I came back home, I saw this....I quickly grabbed my camera. I first took a couple through the windshield in case it flew when I opened the door. Lucky me, it stayed.
It was a good thing it stayed because the one through the windshield were not good. There are always a few morning doves around here, but I seldom get the opportunity to be close enough to get a decent shot like these.
These are wonderful pictures! And look how camouflage he is beside the rocks.
ReplyDeleteWe always seem to have a pair near by... Always nice to hear them.
ReplyDeleteI get a lot of those around here. I always love hearing their call

Mourning doves are beautiful. Sometimes, I get a see some but not always.
ReplyDeleteWhat clear photos! We have these in our backyard, plus quail --which are so funny when they walk and they have an odd-sounding call. We have rabbits, too. My grandkids think we have a nature park in our small yard :).
ReplyDeleteYou captured some wonderful photos. I love to hear these birds in the yard.
ReplyDeleteThere's my precious bird, the mourning dove. And it came just when I needed it today. Thanks Rose. They don't scare easily like the other birds, so we can often get a picture of them. : )
