Lines from a poem

A haze on the far horizon,
The infinite, tender sky,
The ripe rich tint of the cornfields,
And the wild geese sailing high --
And all over upland and lowland
The charm of the golden-rod --
Some of us call it Autumn
And others call it God.
-William Herbert Carruth-

  1. A stunning capture of this dramatic sky with gorgeous colors!! The flowering plant stands out nicely with the shallow DoF used.

I too am gasping - but as much from that being the second time in a few hours that I have heard the autumn word and also that our temps have fallen to single figures overnight... I wouldn't mind, but summer didn't get here yet!!! &*> That shot of the geese is glorious... YAM xx

  15. Oh, this poem goes perfect with your photo, Rose. Not sure I mentioned to you before, but I love poetry. I see the geese a lot, but never flying in a bunch like this.
