Peek-a-boo!

An old shot....but don't know if I have ever used it.  If I did, I think it was a LONG time ago.  It is from August of 2008.  Below is another shot from my daughter Taken just a 3 or 4 days ago.

It blew up a storm the other day and she found this praying mantis clinging to the shop door.  So, she took it inside till the storm was over then took it back outside and set it free.

  7. That first one really blends in to his surroundings. That second one is huge. I wouldn't have known how big it was without your daughters hand there for reference. Very nice of her to help him out during the storm

  8. Does it only have one arm or is it how the picture was made?

  15. These are great images! I hardly ever see praying mantis anymore. It seems like the insects that I saw as a child have more or less disappeared like praying mantis, ladybugs, and snails.

  16. That was so nice that your daughter brought the praying mantis inside during the storm, and then let it back outside after. Wow, you are getting storms at this time of year? It's been a hot Summer, Rose, and looking forward to the Fall.

  17. I just had to shoo a grasshopper away so it wouldn’t come into the house.
