Just a few shots from near Shipshewana, Indiana....
I love driving through Amish country.
I know they weren't actually leaning, but every time I look at photos I have of these two, I have the feeling the dark brown one is leaning against the building, and that the smaller horse is leaning against the bigger horse.
These were all taken in October of 2015.
Great photos captured in Indiana! I always love roadside markets. I was surprised when we stopped at a roadside market last year in Wisconsin and it was unmanned. Paying for products was done on an honor system by putting money in a lockbox. It blew me away.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful photos. They look like postcards!
ReplyDeleteA lovely set of photos that really give a feel of place. If I ever move there I shall set up as a white paint salesman!
ReplyDeleteThe girls may have to dress that way, but ya gotta love those backpacks!!
ReplyDeleteLove these. I want to stop for some of the cider at that roadside stand.
ReplyDeletethe horses do look like they are leaning, I think they are soaking up the sunshine reflected off the walls, I am sure it is cold in the fall there. it seems odd to me that the Amish women wearing plane clothes have zebra print back packs.. I love those barns..
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteLove the cute leaning horse photo. The shot of the girls is colorful and cute!
Great barns scenes. Enjoy your day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI admire how they almost maintain their farms. You could be right about the horses Linden. Very nice series.
Great photos of a different way of life. I do believe the horses are leaning like in the movie Cat Ballou, when Lee Marvin's character on his horse were leaning against the building. Yep, they lean!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Amish land. Enjoy the photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images..Loved those two horses against the white of the barn..Loved those pumpkins ( Hope they were !!0
ReplyDeleteDevi :)
I find these photos quaint and charming. Friendship
ReplyDeleteOne look at the house and I knew it was Amish. I wonder how many rooms really are in the upstairs. I assume they built the house themselves whee form follows function.
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures.Love seeing the lifestyle of the Amish.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all the photos.
ReplyDeleteWe have Amish around here too.
Cute picture of the horses.
Heartwarming pictures, especially the horses and the girls with backpacks. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful images. It would be a place that I would like to visit. I like the view of the barn.
