We drove through the strip pit area late this evening...
These were from the car...just zoomed in. They were across a ditch and a fence. Even if not for the fencing, I was in flip flops and would not have attempted the ditch.
They were at least 15 ft away....
just love to see them...
and this is my favorite although it is a result of me not being able to hold still...
So beautiful! I took some pictures just like these of the fluffy pods. Do you know what they are?
ReplyDeleteSuper pictures, Rose.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures lit by that low sun. I agree with you in rather liking that last photo, however you achieved the result.
ReplyDeleteFotografias fantásticas, gostei de ver e aproveito para desejar um bom fim-de-semana.

Fantastic photos. I love the ones with the butterflies. I have a hard time holding the camera totally still so I get a lot of blur but your looks fantastic with the one in focus and the two flying away blurred to show the motion.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love the Monarchs. Beautiful butterflies. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend.
So bright and beautiful! Sadly, our Monarchs have migrated already.
ReplyDeletethey are all gorgeous but the last is my favorite also. I love that butterfly that looks shivery in the top right corner. photos do not have to be perfect, they tell a story when they have a different look

Gorgeous pictures. I do a lot of my shooting from the car as well.
ReplyDeleteA nice capture of the milkweed gone to seed. Love to see those Monarchs.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photographs Rose.

Your pictures are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth plants and monarchs are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe monarch butterflies are gorgeous. I love the seed pods. These are beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteCool looking seed pods, but the butterflies really captured my attention. How fun to see so many and be able to photograph them.
ReplyDeleteYour monarch shots are wonderful. We had a few migrating at our old place and I saw them while I was mowing.
ReplyDeleteThose orange butterflies are just so pretty. Sometimes the coolest pictures I've taken were unexpected. The one that's blurry shows the butterfly is in flight, which is a unique and wonderful picture.
