Grain elevator

This is one I have been meaning to post for a while...just something about this grain elevator I really like.

  1. You don't see ones like this anymore. An icon from the past.

  2. Me too. The rusty colors and aging metal induce nostalgia about an earlier America, even though the relatives' farms and farming communities where I spent happy childhood visits had no such structures.

  3. I find it appealing. Maybe because, like the others said, it's from a time gone by.

  5. Great textures captured in the corrugated surfaces. The spotty rust gives the well aged look.
