We were on the highway, but it is one less traveled and there was plenty of room to ease off the road and snap a couple shots. He flew right after the last one.
Hi Rose, Thank you for visiting my blog. Great picture of the hawk. Funny, that was my Dad’s nickname.....and now that I think about it, I don’t know why?
The part about easing off of the road made me think of the numerous times I have yelled STOP to my husband.....so I can take a picture. You would think he would be use to it by now, but it still rattles his nerves!
I think that it is interesting how hawks like to sit on the top of telephone and electrical poles. They must have a great view! These are fabulous images with fine detail and color.
I finally found your post for I'd Rather B Birdin'. The link you provided was broken, so I searched and came up with this beauty!!! Wow, Rose...this is awesome. Great sighting. And, I will go back into the admin of the linking tool and correct your link.
Great picture of the hawk, Rose. I have a hawk on my post today, and someone said it was called a Sparrow Hawk in their area. It was so strange, cause I saw him in the Starbuck's parking lot, and I usually just see them in nature. The hawk is such a grand bird.
He/She is a beauty. Do these hawks migrate?
ReplyDeleteWow, fierce!! Great captures!

ReplyDeleteSuch a regal predator. Like a horse whisperer, are you "winged-creature" whisperer. Your subjects seem so cooperative for you.
