Amish barn--B&W or Color


This is from up near Shipshewana, Indiana.


I prefer it in B&W...what is your choice?

    They both work, but they tell different stories. A comment on your comment: We are lucky to live close to the Mountains, reasonably close to the Columbia River Gorge, just a little further away to the dry side the mountains, and reasonably close to one of the most beautiful coastlines-- the Oregon coast. We are very lucky.

    I like both but prefer the coloured one..The green grass looks lovely :)

    I choose the color, it is almost black and white but the hint of rusty color draws me in.... I am thinking that is hay covered up by the white cover. beautiful shot

    So lovely. I always like color better. But for some reason, this one looks better in black and white to me.

    Boy, that's a tough one. Both are excellent, but I think my vote goes for the b&w version. Beautiful photo!

    I just about always prefer color shot, although I do like a nice B&W once in awhile.

    A very tidy barn and silo as one would expect on an Amish farm. I agree that the B&W version has more impact.

    I had a tough time deciding but I love the black and white but I also love the pale red on the barn in the color version

    I think that I like the color better even though the black and white brings out the textures and detail.
