An oldie...from 2009

As always, I wonder what happened to the family....

I wish this image had been better, but am showing it anyway so you can see the house from another view.  I bet it was a real nice house in its day.   If I could find it, I would like to see what it looks like now.

Almost like vacant eyes, the windows look out on the world.

Hmmm, ten years on, I doubt there would be much left at all - unless someone took pity on it... Makes a wonderful photograph, yet carrying such - sadness. YAM xx

  4. C'est toujours triste de voir de belles maisons se dégrader au fil du temps.Ces maisons ont une histoire et pour celle-ci, elles se finit mal. Bonne journée Rose.

  5. I am sure the house had a happy family staying in it and probably they have moved on to another place.

  9. Houses like this always get my mind wondering. What did it look like when it was new? Who lived here? Why was the house abandoned. It makes me sad to see houses left like this. It also makes me want to get inside and take a look around.

  11. Looks like nature is taking back its landscape as plants engulf the home! It looks so structurally sound, one does wonder what happened.

Looks like it was a real nice house at one time.
Sad that it was left to go back to nature.

  16. The forest has approached the old house and offers protection, at least in the summer through its canopy. Yes, even today you can imagine the former beauty of the house.

  18. Old empty houses like this always seem to have a story to tell. If only they could talk.

  20. This old house looks eerie to me. I wonder if it's abandoned? With a little work and love, I bet it would look really nice.
