These were taken January 14, 2009

UPDATED:  The bridge below was burned down by an arsonist in 2005 and this is the version that was rebuilt in 2006.  All by volunteers.

  1. So that is why it is in such good condition! And along with the snow, it all looks like a Norman Rockwell painting!

  2. An incredible feat to reconstruct such a building by voluntary labour alone. Well done to them.

  5. I was thinking what a nice looking building it was and in such good shape. I supposed for 3 years old it should...lol I'm assuming they build it to resemble a much older one. Love the covered bridge too.

  7. I agree with Ginny, it does look Normal Rockwellish… that is a really cool old mill building and the bridge and mill together is really pretty.... that bridge looks longer than most I have seen in photos.

  14. The mill pictures look very good. It's a fine structure. The covered bridge is a good replacement.

  19. A beautiful covered bridge. I photographed the bridges of Madison County, IA. One of those had also been destroyed by arson and rebuilt. I don't understand the idiots who destroy our heritage this way.
