Quilt barns....

I am returning to the archives again for something to post.  Tonight I am choosing some Quilt Barns we saw in Tennessee in 2012.

I could not find these barns again if I had to.

  1. We have so many barns here, but very few quilt ones. My favorite is the first, not just the quilt but the entire picture.

  2. I wonder who first thought of taking a quilt and nailing it to a barn. It seems a pretty random thing to do and an equally unlikely one to copy. However it does show these colourful creations off to good effect. I think I like the last one best because of the way its colours match the rusty roof.

  9. That last barn looks more like our old barn. Maybe it needs a quilt tacked to the side.

  14. The former owners of our newer house had a quilt design on the garage. I lots of my mom's old quilts but neither one of us are quilters. I have the design hanging in the garage and enjoy it there. It was the only quilt in the entire housing development.
