I am sorry, I cannot help it...this makes me think of that song. I have photos of two Whooping Cranes, but I prefer this one of the one Whooping Crane followed by the Sandhill Cranes.
A game of follow the leader, how fun. This one made me laugh. I'll be singing that song all morning now. Or actually just those words will be playing over and over in my head because I can't really think of the rest of the song
This photo was a delight. I am always amazed and intrigued by the variety of wildlife you capture with your camera. There is a sandhill crane refuge less than 20 miles from us, but I have seen only one at the refuge. We saw several in a field outside the refuge once. I admit our visits were few. I did enjoy the walks. Post-stroke we have not visited. Maybe its time to try again.
It has been a very long time since I saw a Whooping Crane, surely one of North America's most magnificent birds, and one which we almost drove to extinction.
Me and my friend used to cruz in my sister's red fiat in high school and sing this song. It holds special memories for me, Rose. A pretty picture of the Cranes.
What a cute and kind of funny picture! Not to mention the awesome sighting of so many cranes, which of itself is wonderful.
ReplyDelete:D Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! "I will follow you..."
ReplyDeleteSomehow reminds me of the Pope being followed by three solicitous cardinals!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
