Powdery Mildew

Many moons ago when I worked at the apple orchard, there was a cat there that looked very much like this one.  The white ruff around her neck was more pronounced than this cat.  Maybe because she was a shinier black.   My boss called her Powdery Mildew...

There was a tree about 10-15 foot from the house.  It was not an apple tree, but can't remember for sure what kind it was   It was way taller than the house, and probably at least a foot in diameter.  Up about 12 ft. the tree had a hallowed spot...I think from a limb being cut off now that I think about it.  Well, that is where Powdery Mildew had her kittens.

  1. Goodness, rather like a mama bird! Your boss sure didn't give her a pretty name. This cat looks perpetually startled.

  4. What a pretty cat that is. It provided a nice memory too. I wonder how Powdery Mildew taught her kittens to climb down from that 12 foot home she made for them.

  6. I don't think I have ever heard of a cat having kittens high up in a tree. Wow! it sounds dangerous for the kittens.

The cat looks kind of mean to me.

  15. That would prove difficult with kittens up there that high up. Your cat is pretty.

  16. the asymmetric pattern of squares is very interesting and provides a fine setting for the soft furry feline. your rambling story about Powdery Mildew is quite amusing

  19. This cat's eyes are so mysterious. He kind of looks like a stray cat, but obviously not since he's looking out the window. : )
