From a summer garden....

Doesn't a cucumber, fresh from the garden sound good?  Or would you rather have a tomato/

BTW, our furnace is fixed an running!    Isn't it funny how something like that will happen on the worst day it could happen on?  But I wonder how long it would have taken us to notice it if it would have been in the 40's as it was today.

  3. A joy to have nice fresh cucumbers growing in your garden. Tomatoes don't grow well in my garden.

  7. I would like one of each please :) We always had a garden when I was growing up and we would go out and pick tomatoes off the vine and eat them right there.
Glad to hear the furnace is working again.

  14. Thank you, Rose, for what you said in your comment and sharing the Psalm verse with me this morning. I really needed that. You're right, family issues are the ones that really bother us because we care so much.

Oh, the home grown cucumber sounds delicious. Your photo made me smile. My dad had a garden, and he planted cucumbers and tomatoes. There's nothing like a home grown tomato, is there? So glad to hear your furnace is working. Spring will soon be here and you won't need the furnace any more, Rose. Have a sweet day.

  16. Lovely image, but I'll pass on the cucumber no matter how fresh. I'm more of a junk food junkie. ;-)

  20. I was at a fair and a vendor was selling your choice of brine soaked cucumbers or fresh dill pickles. Whichever you chose, he reached into his barrel and grabbed one.
