A fabulous close up image with great color and detail. I just don't like the years when there are hundreds of them hatching. Otherwise they don't really bother me.
Oh, I'm so glad I got to see the Cicada finally, Rose. Nel used to see them all the time in her back yard when she lived in Georgia. Yes, pretty, not creepy. I like their color. This is really a nice picture. : )
I agree. I loved watching them come out of their shell when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteA real beauty here! You are so fortunate to find them and get an excellent close-up at the same time! I only hear them or find their empty shell. :-)

ReplyDeleteWe don't have them here, so I've never seen one. I think it's a beautiful picture --- you continually amaze me.

ReplyDeletecreep and pretty, I do agree, but loud they are to me.... this is my first photo showing the shell and the creepy guy in green..
ReplyDeleteHis "bug eye" gets our attention and makes him seem a bit dangerous.
