I cannot believe it, but this is the 4th Bald Eagle nest that I know of. I cannot get a good view of two of them...one is a lot closer to the road than this one, but even if something is on it, it would have to be sitting on the edge towards the road or I would never see.
It is a great picture. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome sight - thrilling to see :)
ReplyDeleteAnother wow!
ReplyDelete20 years ago I would be amazed to see one-- especially a nest. Now? Not that uncommon at all. Protection works.

ReplyDeleteGreat news - for the eagles! YAM xx
I guess if you're as big and powerful as an Eagle you don't need to hide your nest away from anyone. You are very lucky to have such charismatic birds clearly visible in the landscape.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome capture of the Eagle on the nest.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day, wishing you a healthy new week!
wow, there might be babies in there, no way to tell. what a super duper NEST they built. awesome

That is a wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to have gotten a shot this good. Keep trying.
ReplyDeleteExcellent ! I would love to have an eagle nest nearby to watch.
ReplyDeleteNice capture. It would be awesome to be able to observe them on a regular basis
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago, a local university (the vet school) put a web cam with a solar power source and a wi-fi in a tree near an eagle's nest in a local preserve. They streamed the camera and (if I remember correctly) they laid 4 eggs, all hatched and 3 eaglets survived to fledge. The wi-fi was unstable, off and on, up up enough to enjoy. I thing the whole thing blew down in a later storm.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to see this one peer over the edge.
A huge nest and beautiful bird. You are so lucky to have found 4 nests.
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting. I would love to be able to see bald eagles in the wild. There are some an hour away at a wildlife refuge and near a lake but I've never managed to see them there.
ReplyDeleteThey have such big nests. That is fabulous that you know of 4 nests that are near to you. It must be an amazing sight!
ReplyDeleteWow, you got a great shot. The eagles nests over by the creek both fell down. I know they built a nest nearby still because we are seeing them up by us now, just wish I knew where it was.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a BIG nest! What a grand bird the Bald Eagle is. I only saw one in my life, and it was at a nearby Zoo.
