Farm scene

I wish I had not cut that tree off on the right side, but I was shooting from the car and would have gotten my rear view mirror in the frame.  And the road was to busy to stop and get out.  And no place to pull off.

  2. It looks like a painting. I have the same problem with our car's rear view, it sticks WAY out.

  3. I, too, think it looks great. Your pictures turn out a lot better than mine do!

  4. I didn't notice the crop on the tree until I read your post. It's a great picture. We still have many houses from the 1800's around the rural areas-- and even in some of the small towns.

  6. Now this one seems to have taken me to the American Era which I get to read on books! Beautiful barn and house you shared with us today Rose! And don;t worry about cutting that tree because it actually did give some character and story to your photo :)

    happy Weekend!

  7. I like it. It has a calm feeling to it. I'm sure that sitting on the porch of that house would give you a quiet peaceful feeling.

  8. It's a pleasant scene anyway. I don't have a car but when I travel with my brother I've more or less banned myself from taking photos unless we're using the car as a bird-hide.

  10. i like the photo the way it is, to get that tree you would have had to back off and that would make the house/barn smaller. i smile when i see barns so much bigger than the houses. the barn and the house are so pretty.

  12. buildings in otherwise flat, treeless landscapes. Today your comment process somehow different but sort of back to where it was. I am sympathetic to your personal posting issues, realize they are somewhat beyond your control, but just want you to know that if I choose not to jump through hoops to respond it is not personal.

  13. Considering you were in a car, this is a fine picture. The tree to the rigfht doesn't borther me.

  18. A nice view of the barn and the house. It is hard taking pictures from the car and sometimes I see these great images I want to capture but there is no place to pull over.

  19. A tricky shot for sure. It looks like a typical old Iowa farm scene.
