I was doing a bit of weeding this morn, and looked back in the bucket I throw the weeds in and this was laying on top! Isn't it gorgeous. I had to lay my gloves on it to keep the wind from moving it/blowing it away.
Wow a great picture of the leaf skeleton. I think the gloves add to it. By the way rose, you might want to change your setting to NOT accept anonymous posts. Just a suggestion, of course.
Hari OM Nature's lacework!!! Well spotted and thank you for framing it with the gloves -makes a gorgeous image.

This is lovely !! A treasure indeed !! I soak the peepal leaf in water for a few days, changing the water occasionally and then slowly move off the slimy chlorophyl with my fingers and press away the moisture and press the leaf betwen the pages of a book.. I get a lovely leaf like yours..with veins.I paint on it :))) Devi:) Shall post a plain leaf soon :))
We used to find these as children as one of our trees seemed to lend itself to making skeleton leaves, but I haven't seen one for years. They are so delicate and pretty :)

Oh my goodness, it is gorgeous!! All that is left is the thread-like structure, like fine lace. What a find!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I had dogs I would look down and bring in special leaves. I find them in books yet today even though I don't take the dogs out anymore.
