These were taken this morning with my phone. I have wanted Alliums for a long time and finally got some last fall. Then, this spring we have had several pretty hard frosts, but still they have survived.
I'm surprised that you have commenters who are not familiar with these as they're very commonly grown in the UK. People I've spoken to either love them or hate them and there seems to be no middle ground. Me, I like them.
Oh how beautiful! Another new flower I have learned and seen through your blog Rose. That second photo would be a beautiful Mural to anyone's foyer! Love it so so much! Happy weekend dear rose, the rain has gone and it gave us cooler weather as it went away, thankful for it. Have a great Saturday and Sunday!
never saw an Allium before, but these are lovely. the color is great. the bud sticking out in the top shot suffers from focus issues, but the real issue is that it is closer which confuses the eye.
I like Alliums! How many did you get? They are a member of the onion family. This makes me think they are easy to grow, yet I never see any around.
ReplyDeleteSOmething new for me... Pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe color is so beautiful and there's something about tiny leaves (?) that I really like. I have some seeds that I can't wait to plant.
