Every time I see all these spools of King Tut thread, I feel rich. I love the variegated colors.
The kids got me a variety a couple years ago as part of my birthday. I have used some of it...and I don't think this is all I have left. They are just what I grabbed.
I found a use for empty spools...I wrap leftover binding on them.
They are all so pretty together. I have never heard of this thread, does a roll have different shades on it?
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea for storing binding :)
ReplyDeleteYes, feeling rich because of little things. You're a woman after my own heart. :)
ReplyDeleteYou make the simple grouping of thread quite attractive!

What beautiful colors. I'm assuming that these are quilting thread. Great idea for storign the binding too.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you have all the colours in your collection. Great way to use the empty spools. Happy weekend.

Those thread colors are rich and vibrant.
ReplyDeleteA fine group of pictures of this spoolsl. Nice to have a use for the older ones.
ReplyDeleteHow grand these threads look! And Rose, the way you grouped them on the second photo makes it a beautiful swatch for color palettes that would look good on a room design. Love it! My favorite group was the purple with the bronzes. Very regal! And great job on giving those empty spools a new life!
ReplyDeleteYou are way out of my league. It's about all I can do to sew a button on. Lovely thread colors.
ReplyDeleteNice colored thread and what a clever way to use the old spools.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are so rich. I envy my relatives and friends who sew, but I have come to the conclusion that there needs to be at least one unskilled person in their lives who is in awe of their accomplishments and is a dedicated appreciator of their skills. Consider yourself appreciated! Way to go , Rose!
ReplyDeleteMany lovely colors on these threads.
ReplyDeleteThose threads are so pretty .
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense that you are showing mostly new, unwrapped spools, as the others are used up. But after these photos, you have plenty to use on new projects.
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely together, so colourful …
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs.
All the best Jan

The spools of thread are so pretty. They remind me of Fall colors. A great idea to wrap fabric around them. My mom was a great seamstress, and sewed most of my clothes growing up. : )
