I think these are the first dragonflies I have captured this year.....

I am liking the shadows in these shots.

  1. I have just been sitting on here on the couch resting. So I knew it is just about time for your new post. Am I glad I came, wow!! You take the best Dragonfly pics of ANYONE!!! I don't know how you do it, they never even sit still for me. I was so wrapped up with staring at their eyes and face, that I hadn't even noticed the shadows till I read what you said. The lacy shadows of the wings are fantastic. These should be on the cover of National Geographic!!! What kind of camera do you have, anyway?

  4. I like dragonflies and used to catch them when I was young. Since I have reduced flowering plants in my garden, I don't get to see much dragonflies now.

  5. Oh my goodness Rose! Isn't he absolutely stunning and all that detail I'm just sitting staring at all the details at this tiny bug or whatever you call them has on him. Creation is just amazing in close-up photos. Excellent shot

  8. Rose, you are just super good with photography! I think I already told you how scared I am of them but you got a way of taking their shots with such clarity that I can stare at their pictures and not really cringe at all! Love this one with the green and blue hues!
