The first photo is usually what I think of when I think of thistle blooms...and I think they are just beautiful.
Driving on down the road out of the corner of my eye I caught this one. I just stopped, backed up, turned the car off and rolled down my window. It was a totally lucky shot as the background is an old rundown two story house that has all these shade trees. Who would have thought that dark background was natural.
I did not notice the critter on the right side till I downloaded the pics.
I often admire these thistle blooms. You got an awesome picture.
ReplyDeleteI think they are pretty as well. But your shots go even beyond pretty! They are glorious art.
ReplyDeleteI agree that your photos are gorgeous art!
ReplyDeleteGreat captures!
ReplyDeleteWow Rose! These look so beautiful! The second one looks very captivating and would huge hang a print of that on any part of the house and it sure will bring energy and life!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I LOVE these!
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful Rose, I like thistles too :)
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteNot a true thistle - more likely a knapweed (centaurea) variety - but very very pretty!!! YAM xx
WOW. That second picture is amazing. Photographic perfection. I've always liked thistle blooms
ReplyDeleteLove the thistle, so pretty. Great photos. Have a great day!
ReplyDeletePretty thistle bloom. I don't know whether we have this thistle here.
ReplyDeleteStunning. I am glad you went back for this beautiful photo op.
ReplyDeleteAnd to think this beauty grows from a weed! Beautiful clarity captured in these shots!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are awesome! And it's hard to believe the background on the last one but I have had a similar thing happened sometimes it blows out white and sometimes it blows out black and this one is awesome. I love it!
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely. But the bottom one is magical!
ReplyDeletewow !! You are so fortunate Rose !! These are fabulous shots...especially the last one ( critter or no critter ).
ReplyDeleteDevi :)))
Rose, that last picture is a prize winning shot. It is so gorgeous .
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is so awesome. It looks like something not quite real - nature is amazing isn't it :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are fine shots, but the second one is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think the blooms are beautiful too and your capture is outstanding!!
ReplyDeletethey are both nice shots. I agree the blooms are nice but regret they lead to more thistles. I remember my grandfather's pastures, grazed low, with nasty thistles sticking up. I was tasked with taking some of them down. Incidentally, the bloom against the black almost looks like it has had a haircut.
ReplyDeleteSweet shots. Especially the second.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous images. I love the second one. It is gorgeous. The flower just seems to glow. Beautiful color and fabulous detail!
ReplyDeleteMuy buen acercamiento.
ReplyDeleteCuĂdate.
Un abrazo.
outstanding captures!!!! Love the sparkles on the second one!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an exceptional photo. Lovely thistle bloom.
