Waving in the breeze


This delicate grass grows along a busy road over in Illinois....in some stretches it is a long stretch of it and in the right light it is gorgeous.  But I have never been able to take a pick of it.  At the most, it most it is about 10 inches tall.  This was at the strip pit area...it is just here and there out there.

    I think these are called Foxtails, at least that what they are referred to around here. They do make beautiful pictures.

    It is so beautiful! This shot would make lovely wallpaper, don't you think. I mean wallpaper on walls, not your computer background. Maybe in a dining room or bathroom.

    Lovely image. I remember years ago seeing some grass like this in Alaska but it was a maroon color. I could never capture how it looked in the sun. Good work.

    i have seen this delicate fan grass all my life Rose... i never knew what it was called and still don't... i am satisfied just looking at it and feeling its silky texture....peter:)

    ROSE! This is so BEAUTIFUL! Oh my, you can sell this shot to Microsoft or Apple as it would be an amazing default wallpaper for their screens! I love it so much! At first I thought it was a bird's feather but then seeing the leaves, wow!
