Hard at work...

I had totally forgot I had tried taking this with my phone till I saw another's shot of a pollinator hard at work.  I was surprised that this turned out so good.   To bad my cone flower is so damaged.  I am not sure what eats them.

  1. Gosh, that is a HUGE bite something took out of it. Looks more like an animal than an insect. Maybe a deer or squirrel.

  2. That cone-flower must be tasty! We'd be in a sorry state without those busy pollinators.

  3. Something must have love eating the petals of your flower. Take care and stay safe.

  5. That is the way our plants look and it's snails eating hours they ate all the pedals off of the wildflowers and then they ate the leaves and left just the stock. Stalk not stock! Did you see Jenny's white ones that she found? I have seen the pink in the red but never White. You and your cell phone did a fantastic job

  9. Rose, this is one of the prettiest photos I've seen. I am going to put it on my computer screen for awhile during the Summer, if you don't mind. I love how you captured the bee on the flower. : )

  13. The cone flower must taste good. It's over the 100 degree mark here so there aren't many flowers that look good.
