Nice shot. There are a lot of Amish families in this area. A lot of them shop in the store where I work. Sometimes I think their simpler way of life would be nice.
That's so interesting how they get from one place to another. I can really relate to it. There is an Amish movie that I've watched a few times. It's about forgiveness, and each time I watch it, I cry. It's a beautiful story. Merry Christmas to you, Rose. Thanks for being such a good blog friend and visiting, and for your comments. I appreciate it.
I sure wouldn’t want to drive a school bus like that.
ReplyDeleteNicely shot. They have a way of life that might get them through the horrible century.
ReplyDeleteI don't get up to Pennsylvania too often but when I do, I love seeing the Amish farms and the buggies. This is a wonderful image!
ReplyDeleteVery familiar, we have an Amish community here too.
ReplyDeleteWe have Old Order Amish around here. The Amish in Iowa are required to have English (not the subject) teachers. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThe transport is ready if they can find the horses. ;-) When I lived in the Midwest, we would occasionally see Amish folks on the roads.

ReplyDeleteI've always had a sneaking admiration for such people and their determination to stick to their beliefs.
ReplyDeleteSuch an envious lifestyle. Tho I'm spoiled with modern gadgets we have, I must admit their simple way of living is impressively admired.
