i jsut ran a short search and you could spend a lot of time researching this, there is much to be said and some silos have holes. and some are brick. did not look at links but just to see. it is very odd and never seen one like it. i am thinking a sil0
It almost looks like an old furnace or kiln. But I am not sure that it would have a house built so close to it. It is definitely an interesting structure. I like the brick work. It took quite a lot of work to build it.
Wow, I have never seen one like it. Looks like some kind of small silo for storing food, with maybe a spring house besde it?
ReplyDeleteIt’s attractive, but I haven’t a clue what it was for.
ReplyDeleteIs it some kind of kiln?

A silo of some kind?
ReplyDelete...enlarging it, it really can't be for storing grain with all the openings. I did a Google search...could be a barn?!?

ReplyDeleteThat's quite interesting. I'm with Ginny in saying I've never seen one like it. Hope someone else that sees it knows what it's used for
