We have a bunch here right now. Dark-eyed Junco. Ours are a bit different than the one you have shown. Ours are called Oregon Junco I believe and that one looks like the Slate-colored one. Maybe---who knows MB
I didn't see the birds for the longest time when I moved here in the mountains, but I'm starting to see them now. I guess they come and go throughout the Winter, and I'm sure I'll see more in Spring.
We used to get them every winter, but now I hardly ever see them. We also call them Snow Birds. He sure blends in well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture! 🙂
ReplyDeleteOur juncos look a bit different---Lighter brown with dark brown heads.
ReplyDeletePretty! I haven't seen any here yet. Others have, but not me. I'll come visit.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have an equivalent in the UK - and "Junco" just doesn't seem like a name for a bird!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one of those around here. At least not that I can recall.
ReplyDeleteI love his color, a beautiful shot
