Cardinals are one of my favorite birds. I love the males because of their color but the females are just as pretty.
The gals are just as pretty as their mates with their silver gowns!!

What a precious close up!
The male cardinals are more showy and flashy but the females have a subtle beauty all their own. Good shot of this pretty girl.

You have a great zoom which requires a steady hand. For that, I applaud you for this close-up. It's a shame the male has to be the "prettier" one. :-)
