    These birds used to show up in very large groups at my feeder. They would scare off all the other birds. They are rather pretty though. When the sun hits them just right you can see all the different colors in them.

    Plenty of those to be seen around here too at the moment. The colours of their plumage in certain lights is truly astonishing.

    The Starlings I remember as a kid weren't nearly as pretty as this. They didn't have all those pretty speckles.

    I have seen this bird only once when I lived in my old town, and I thought it was so unusual and pretty. You took a great picture of it, Rose.

    I totally agree. They are actually very pretty. I just hate that they turn up in large groups and eat everything in sight! They will empty my bird feeder in a matter of minutes!
