We managed to wander down to Goose Pond on this past Friday....I was hoping to see some something. Two or three roads we wanted to go down were covered by water. We did see a few ducks, and several hawks...and I was about to give up and head home and Lo and behold, I spotted these. They were so far away I could not tell what they were.

A flock of White Pelicans, what a very cool find!! I didn't know there were any around there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the pictures... I've never seen a real pelican. It was windy here today too.
ReplyDeleteThe only place we can see pelicans is in the zoo. Great capture of the pelicans.
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteThe White Pelicans are cool, one of my many favorite birds to see.
Have a happy day!
How wonderful that you found these before you left. It looks like that one pelican in the first picture has a bit of insomnia :)
ReplyDeleteare pelicans normally there? we have them here but did not know you would see a flock like this. the photo is beautiful. still lauhging over the umbrella flight. brahahahaha

ReplyDeleteI've just arrived from a blog about Hummingbirds - and now Pelicans. Neither of them are ever seen in the UK and I'm very jealous! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are fine close ups in that second picture.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the pelicans! You did very well indeed in finding these beauties.
ReplyDeleteThe pelicans are amazing. I am thinking of you flying with an umbrella now! Lol. 🌂
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to see all those pelicans!! When I walk in a strong wind it always makes me laugh to get pushed along by it!
ReplyDeleteThe second shot is amazing. Well, I'm glad we didn't see you blow by holding on to an umbrella. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe get the immature pelicans here. The ones old enough to mate got to lakes west of here. Such beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing all of these Pelicans.
All the best Jan
Gorgeous white pelicans! They are so beautiful. There is a flock that spends winters here in Maryland. It is always such a treat to see them.
ReplyDeleteNot bad shots on the pelicans and ducks!
ReplyDeletePelicans, so many of them! What a GRAND bird. I love white birds, they're so wonderful to look at.
