we love these guys and call them do do birds because we can walk right up to them, they are not even afraid of Beau. I watched one yesterday sitting in our tree. i love love love their cooing noises
This is a perfect bird. I used to see them all the time where I used to live, and I hope to see them in the mountains also. A bird of peace, and a wonderful photo, Rose.
A very pretty image of this mourning dove. I have not seen them all winter and then 2 pairs were at my bird feeders over the last couple of days. I see quite a few of them in the spring and summer.

ReplyDeleteThey look so like our Collared Doves. I hope they sing better as Collared Doves have just three notes which they repeat over and over again.
