It looks like something is eating on the leaves...this is the first time I have ever seen damage on their leaves and I have had them for years and years.
on no, our one hisbiscus we have left has holes like this and the edges are ragged. I am going to try liquid sevin, I bought it for ants, daddy used so springkle powder sevin on his plants
Most of those nasty critters hate hot sauce. You can dilute some with 50% water and sprinkle it on the leaves and ground around your plants. Since it's a natural, plant-based concoction, it won't hurt the environment and the critters will probably move next door.
This is beautiful. I love the color of the new leaves. They looks so delicate. I am having squirrels eat my new plants. I give them enough peanuts...you think that they would be happy! A gorgeous image.
We have a big garden and there is always something coming for lunch at some place,
ReplyDeleteIt does look a little suspicious. I hope you can catch them in the act, and find out what kind of bug it is.
ReplyDeleteMuy bella imagen, con un color excelente y gran definición
ReplyDeleteUn saludo
Pretty wildflower. Whatever it is, hope it will not further damage the leaves.
ReplyDeleteOh oh.

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI hope the bugs will not kill you plant, is this the trillium?
Take care, have a happy day!
I like the hot sauce mixture idea, can't hurt to try.
ReplyDeleteI like the elegant shape of those leaves
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tones and veining captured in this plant! I hope that bug was just a passerby.
ReplyDeleteI hope the bugs / creatures leave the leaves alone and the plant gets back its healthy state !!!
ReplyDeleteLook underneath to see the "eater".
ReplyDeleteLovely capture. I have seen grasshoppers cutting the leaves to interesting designs
ReplyDeleteI hate to see damage on such a pretty plant.
ReplyDeleteYes, somebody is having a little snack on those leaves.
ReplyDeleteNot good!
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is it must think this plant is quite delicious.
ReplyDeleteSomething finds it tasty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some tasty tender young leaves.
