American robin

They are in our yard till late summer/early fall....then we see them no more here at home.  The only reason I can think of is because the yard gets so dry.  We see them other places.

  1. This is a wonderful shot of a robin. In all my shots, I have never gotten one this good. They come here for the spring and summer, then are gone in the fall, migrating.

  8. Oh Rose, this is one of my favorite birds. I just saw a Robin outside my kitchen window, and he was visiting on my birthday today! Thank you for letting me see another one. This one is beautiful. I love their little orange bellies. ; )

  10. Excellent shot of the Robin.
They are the most common bird around here - they are all over the place.

  11. We have so many of these this year. On nest under our deck that seems to be doing good.

  15. They showed up here, too. A few hang around all summer but most go elsewhere.

  16. Here in coastal Mississippi, I rarely see robins except in the winter, and then it is usually when we are driving in rural areas.

  17. A spectacular image of this beautiful robin! I rarely see them anymore. Even in summer. I am not sure where they went. They used to be the first sign of spring when I was a child.
