I am not sure if they are going to nest there or if they are just enjoying the sunshine. They were so far away I did not notice the pair at the bottom till I downloaded the picture. If you are not careful you might miss one of the pair at the bottom. And I for sure did not see the turtle.
Beautiful! I found the one at the bottom. It’s colors were a good camouflage. Never did spot the turtle!
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the one at the bottom really camouflaged it well. Never did spot the turtle.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are trying to decide if this is the right neighbourhood for them.
ReplyDeleteUnless you look well, the others are hidden. Great capture!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like a nest. I noticed one of the second pair but missed the other till you prompted me to take another look. Oh yes, a turtle too!
ReplyDeleteI think they would have a much more secluded nest-- That spot seems pretty busy. The shiny shell made me catch the turtle pretty quickly. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThe turtle looks like debris until you enlarge the photo. I'm thinking it's just a resting spot.
ReplyDeleteIf you had not mentioned the pair at the bottom I would not have seen them. Your eye is automatically drawn to the the two at the top.

ReplyDeleteWhich all goes to show a photo never lies! I am quite often amazed at what I missed when out and about that my lens always captures. YAM xx
Hello,
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a nesting area, great shot of the geese and turtle.
Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
I only saw the two on the hump nest, had to look for the second one at the bottom even knowing they were there. it does look like a nest
ReplyDeleteI too missed the bottom pair at glance! Lovely capture
ReplyDeleteQUite a busy spot!
ReplyDeleteI have to relook to find the others. Well camouflaged.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nesting area to me. I did spot the others and the turtle too. :)
ReplyDeleteA fine pair with the turtle.
ReplyDeletethy are building their nest Rose... the other two will move on to find another nest... these birds will return to their original nest if it hasn't been taken over by other birds... this is a nice nature photo....peter:)
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be thinking pretty hard about this being just the right spot to nest. Excellent capture of the pair and their friends.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. AT this time of year, nesting is most often on their mind, i'm sure.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place for their nest.
ReplyDeleteI saw the second pair and the turtle but only after you mentioned it.
Great bonus to get them in the picture.
I wouldn't have seen the pair at the bottom if you hadn't told me. I think I see the turtle.
ReplyDeleteMagnifique tout simplement !!
ReplyDeleteBravo pour la photo
Bonne journée à toi
Preciosa escena. Me gusta.
ReplyDeleteCuídate.
Un abrazo.
Beautiful pair and yes, I would have missed the other if you had not mentioned it.
ReplyDeleteThey nest in the strangest places... beside the road, on an island dividing a road. Hopefully, they have picked this nice spot for their nest. A lovely view of this pair.
ReplyDeleteI almost missed the pair at the bottom....and the turtle. Glad you pointed them out. This is a lovely photo, Rose. Yes, it does look like a nest, doesn't it?
