Getting a makeover

 I wish I knew exactly where this was at...I would like to have seen it when it was finished.  I do know it is northwest of us, but how far I do not know.

 iI have been looking at old photos, and actually finding some that have never been published.  This is one of them.  Taken not too far from us, over in Illinois.

Every time I come across this photo, The Hokey Pokey starts going through my mind...Put your left wing in, put your left wing out.  
 

A lone beauty

 This was taken on November 11, so it is doubtful that there are any leaves left.  Still,  I would not mind traveling down that road again.

Not your best example of frost, but it is about all that is left of the leaves near our house.

Red Barn

This barn has had a makeover, I think.  But for the life of me I don't remember what it looked like before.

King Tut

 

I bet the title surprised you....well, this is King Tut thread for quilting.  It is almost the only thing I use when machine quilting.  There are so many lovely variegated colors!  Superior Threads makes it.

It is kind of funny that plants come from such tiny seeds.  And this is nothing compared to some.

 I need to go back and get some seed to put in my flowerbeds to see if they will come up here.

 I was surprised to see this reflection when I downloaded the photo. This is a cropped image.  I am embarrassed to admit tat I did not notice it when I took the pic.

 Notice how litle color there is...we have some color, but it sure isn't normal.  A lot of leaves fell without changing.  And we have had rain all summer....so I don't know what the deal was.

 I love to be able to zoom in and see a bit of the inside of barns...I sure wish I could have seen more of this old barn.

I see fairly often when out on drives, but I think this is the only one I ever got to photograph.

I have only ever come across this barn this one time.  I know the general area it is in, I just can't seem to find it again.

Autumn road

 I am hoping to have time to travel some of these backroads next week...without rain.

a beauty

 This was taken in 2017, in November.  I saw it from the third floor window of the medical building where Roger went to get his allergy shots.  It has not been this beautiful since that time.  I am wondering how it will be this year since our color is getting a late start.
