Red-headed Woodpecker


I see fairly often when out on drives, but I think this is the only one I ever got to photograph.

  13. A magnificent image. I have never seen a red headed woodpecker or a pulsated woodpecker. Only the red bellied woodpecker. This is beautiful!

  18. Your red-headed Woodpecker looks different than ours in California. Ours only has a patch of red on its head. But he sure is beautiful. He has been annoying this year though, as he was pecking under the eaves at my house, and even at night time. He finally stopped. This is a great picture, Rose.
