This barn WAS over in Illinois...it is no longer there. I did not think it was that bad. Imagine how crazy I thought I was when I could not go right to it. I got on google maps and looked and looked, and got on street view, and thankfully those photos were still there and it was where I had been looking. Just gone now!

ReplyDeleteIt would probably cost more to repair than knockdown and build new... thank goodness for photo archives! YAM xx
That's sad. It has character...or HAD character.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt is a neat old barn. It must not have been safe and to come down.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Take care, have a great new week!
that is sad that it is gone, i hope they repurposed all that wonderful old wood
ReplyDeleteI do love old barns. This is a beauty! Sad that it's gone but happy you got your photos.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised it is now gone. Looks about to fall down but sure makes for a terrific picture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. So much character!!
ReplyDelete(That bird action with its wings because of reflections is called canopying). I have never seen the tri-colored doing this before, have you?
An old barn with a lot of character. Very picturesque.
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully rustic.
ReplyDeleteI like the shape of this old barn. I hope that someone at least salvaged the old barn wood. So strange how it is there one day and gone the next.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it's gone now. I've seen barns in worse shape than this one. Then again I've seen ones that weren't too bad but collapsed under heavy snow. The one year here there were several barns that happened to.
