Oh, how interesting. They don't look very much like the hummingbird. I have a white flowering bush in my front yard, and last Spring and Summer I would see the hummingbird flutter about this bush when I watered it. Very nice photo, Rose. Have a good week.
WOW, I have NEVER seen one. What a spectacular creature! I guess they are pretty big.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen one either! It's spectacular.
ReplyDeleteImpressive insect. We have a Hummingbird Hawkmoth which is similar - and similarly elusive; it's a long time since I've seen one.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cross between a bumblebee and a butterfly! Thanks for letting me see one for the first time!

Those things are amazing. The first one I saw I had no idea what it was.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if I have ever seen one not in flight. They are interesting creatures. You got a good shot of this one.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured Rose!
ReplyDeleteInteresting moth and name. Good find.
ReplyDeleteA magnificent image. Beautiful color and detail. I have never seen one except in pictures. You are very lucky!
