the barn might have fallen down but the other building looks sturdy. maybe you could do the gps coordaintes thing. i know they are somewhere on our cell pics and wonder if they are from a camera.
Your barn photos are great. There is a silo about 1000 get from my gardens that has appeared in a number of original paintings, and prints. In fact friends of mine from Chicago bought a print and brought it to. me as a gift - not knowing that the silo was the one just down the street from my gardens - funny.
Loved this photo, the remains of a prosperous operation of another era. Hope all is well on your Homefront. It will take me awhile to catch up with your past posts, and it is always an intriguing visit.

ReplyDelete...it was most of the way out even then... Lovely frame. YAM xx
Your pictures show aspects of your country that we don't see very often. That little view is a perfect illustration of what I mean.
ReplyDeleteSome seem to be able to keep standing with no visible means of support. The shed (dairy?) and the silo seem to be avoiding surrender.
ReplyDeleteGreat barn photo, love the silo too.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day! Have a happy new week!

ReplyDeleteI bet that one was quite impressive when it was new. That roof looks pretty sad.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of my grandfather's barn when I was growing up
ReplyDeleteA work of art...that silo is so very impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful scene. Sadly they will be gone in another fifty years. I know that I have seen this set of building like this all over Iowa.
ReplyDeleteA nicely-framed view of this weathered barn through the enveloping branches!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been very impressive in it's day. Sad if it's gone now.
ReplyDeletea good viewpoint Rose... that barn has seen many better years....peter:)

ReplyDeleteThat has been a lovely farm at some point, but just like us humans we don't keep our vigor.
ReplyDeleteA great picture!! And nice to see green and sunshine!!
ReplyDeleteNicely shot with the branches framing all.
ReplyDeleteI like this view of the barn with the silo. Beautifully composed with the curve in the road. I like the style of the barn and the roof.
