Stitched by hand

I used to sew a lot by hand...and I still like to.  I just don't do it as much.  the above was a cushion cover.

  1. UNBELIEVABLE!! Such small and even stitches, they look like from a machine.

  3. WOW, that's beautiful. I don't know that I would have the patience for all that hand stitching. This makes it so much more special than something that was done by machine. It has a lot of love stitched right into it.

  4. That's rather nice. I still have a small piece of embroidery that was started by my mother and finished by my grandmother - or possibly the other way around.

  10. That's pretty, Rose. The colors are warm. You did a nice job on that. My Mom was a great seamstress and sewed many of my clothes growing up. She was always working on projects. As for me, I can just sew pillow cases and doll clothes haha.

    Have a restful weekend.

  11. Delightful. That's a lot of hard work to make such a lovely cushion cover.
I wish I had the patience to do that.

  13. Absolutely beautiful! I love the colors and the pattern. I used to do embroidery but now I have arthritis in both hands and the fine sewing causes too much pain. You are very talented. I love quilts!
