These are Grandmother's Flower Garden blocks. They could be sewn together like this. But I am leaning towards a different way. There always comes a point where the a final decision must be made. And I am the most indecisive person you would ever want to meet. I can always see so many visions it is hard to choose just one. BTW, you can click on the photo to get a bigger view.
They are perfect! Both in shape and the way the colors all go together.
ReplyDeleteFollow your inclination and you will be right!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I remember of my Grandmother's actual flower garden it was thrown together in an entirely random way but always looked wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWow Rose!!!

ReplyDeletethis appeals to me with them together like this.. and since burgundy is my color of choice, i love the colors also
ReplyDeleteI m sure that whichever way you choose to join them, it will look great.
ReplyDeleteEven if I was in your place, I couldn't have come to a conclusion easily.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the pattern. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI believe what ever you choose will be beautiful. Hope you show us the final work when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I am looking forward to seeing the final product. It is hard making decisions. My problem is choice of colors when I create a glass project.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar quilt that my mother in law made a gazillion years ago.
ReplyDeleteIts packed away for safe keeping. I haven't looked at it in years.
I do like your quilt very much and look forward to seeing your final "vision".

Your Grandmother's Flower blocks are so pretty, Rose, and such a treasure. I would love to see what you do with them. My sister used to sew quilts. It's such a talent.....and a lost art. Wish I saw more of it in today's world. My Mom was a terrific seamstress, and I loved the fact that she sewed many of my clothes growing up. Oh, these flower blocks are so special.
