Robin

The robins are thick in our part of the world right now, yet I can't seem to manage to be out at the right time to get a great photo.  This is a cropped photo.

  1. That's an unusual fence behind him, too!

  2. They're handsome birds, but I'm baffled as to why early settlers decided to call them Robins; apart from having an orange breast they're nothing like our Robins.

  3. They always seem a bit snooty to me, but I love 'em anyway!

This was a good photo to start with, Rose, else you wouldn't have been able to crop it so successfully - it's lovely! YAM xx

  11. Well it works for me.
We've had a few flitting around gathering stuff for their nests.
Its such a pretty time of year.

  12. Oh, one of my favorite birds, Rose. They are brave ones, and don't fly away quickly like the others. Their orange belly makes me smile. Such a dear bird.

  13. Even though the Robin is such a common bird, it is so very beautiful.

  14. A gorgeous portrait! I hardly see robins anymore. I used to see flocks of them but they have mostly disappeared.
